South Australian based, Australian owned and operated Southern Cross Science have provided laboratory service, products, and highly specialized technical advice, enabling informed choices to be made for the purchase of laboratory equipment, for over 35 years.
Built on DBG’s LiveCube powerful eCommerce software, the project required large amounts of customisation to achieve Southern Cross Science desired goals.
DBG’s custom LiveCube software, a powerful eCommerce platform that is designed to seamlessly integrated with ERP, POS, accounting, and warehouse management systems. LiveCube helps streamline online sales, internal processes, distribution and fulfilment.
LiveCube, based on the latest Microsoft technology, is fast, secure, scalable and designed to include many functions needed in today’s fast-moving eCommerce world, with the ability to evolve and continue to push the boundaries into the future.
The complex requirements for the solution required multiple workshops, data gatherings and the creation of a detailed scope. The solution required creating a B2B online ordering system that integrated with MYOB Advanced.
The customer required the ability for non-logged in customers to be able to create an inquiry with pricing as POA (Posting on Application) due to restrictive sales legislation. This required customisation to prevent pricing display in the shopping cart and the initial customer email, but allowed Southern Cross Science to do a follow up quote.
The integration with MYOB Advanced utilised the Customers, Stock, Inventory, Categories, Brands, Pricing and Sales Order integration. The MYOB Advanced pricing integration required some further customisation to ensure it followed a particular hierarchy:
- Customer Specific Price – linked directly to the SKU & Customer ID
- Customer Price Class – linked directly to the SKU & Customer Role
- Base Price – default price of the SKU
The complex custom solution allowed SCS to manage complex pricing structures online and increase the website sales orders.
