Utilising our LiveCube platform, we developed a tailored eCommerce solution that integrates smoothly with their inventory and order management systems, automating workflows and ensuring accurate, real-time stock and pricing information. The Strategy

dbg recommended migrating BraceAble from LiveCube CMS (v4.5) to Shopify, to take advantage of its powerful business-to-consumer features and app ecosystem. The new rebranded site was developed to be fully mobile-optimised, operating on a base Shopify licence with support for up to five user accounts. A complete migration of existing data and functionality was carried out, and full integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ensured continuity. A rigorous testing phase between dbg and BraceAble helped guarantee a smooth, disruption-free launch.

Products, customers, and historical orders were seamlessly transferred, with product pricing—especially GST exemptions—accurately synced. Custom code ensured GST-exempt items passed correctly into D365 Business Central, while all other products applied the correct GST. Shopify discount codes mapped precisely into D365, and stock levels were reliably maintained through hourly inventory syncs.

Yotpo product reviews were accurately reattached using matched IDs, while Simprosys ensured uninterrupted performance of Google Ads Pmax campaigns. Customer experience was elevated with a smoother login process via Shopify’s New Customer Accounts, and checkout features like Special Instructions and Authority to Leave worked flawlessly. Product descriptions, including embedded hyperlinks, were updated across the board with professional formatting and consistent branding. Data also flowed smoothly into Microsoft Clarity and GA4, supporting performance insights with minimal downtime.

The Challenge

To ensure returning customers could access their order history, historical data—including orders and customer records—had to be reformatted to suit the new Shopify architecture. Customers were linked via email addresses and products via SKUs, demanding a careful and meticulous approach to data mapping and integrity.

The Technology

The new BraceAble website now supports Shopify Payments, enabling transactions via MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Google Pay, Shopify Pay, Apple Pay, and PayPal. Checkout functionality was enhanced to include Special Instructions and Authority to Leave fields. The site also integrates Yotpo for customer reviews, Microsoft Clarity and GA4 for analytics, and Simprosys for Google Shopping and Ads.

LiveSync provides real-time integration between Shopify and Microsoft D365 Business Central—syncing Products, Inventory, Pricing, and Orders automatically, with minimal manual intervention.
