Strategic Plan: The Nature’s Cradle website was being built not only to allow for users to shop online, but also to provide a one stop shop for parents with interesting and informative resources.

Web Design & Development: The design of this website was critical; it needed to be a functional online store, while also being aesthetically appealing to the intended target market. The homepage was key to the flow of the rest of the site, and need to incorporate a number of important features such as a large ’Shop Now’ image, social media links, Competitions, Product of the Month, Featured Products and a link to Sign up for Membership. A lot of attention was also paid to the individual product pages, as they required a large amount of information to be brought together in an easy to understand format.

Content Management System (CMS): The Nature’s Cradle CMS was built completely customized to suit their unique requirements. The Product Management area in particular required many different fields to allow for appropriate management of their catalogue, including Stock Colours, Stock Sizes, Reviews, Manufacturers and more. It was also important that users of the website could access the same product through a number of different categories to ensure that things were easily found. For example, NAPPIES can be found under the Baby, Toddler, Nappy Shop, Only Australian, Ony Organic, and Only Bamboo menu items.

Special Functionality: In order to provide the best possible experience for the end user of the website, many unique features were added, such as Wishlists and Gift Registries, ability to use Discount Coupon Codes in the Checkout, a secure Member’s Area and much more.
